Paper Flower Centerpieces DIY Project

Sharing is caring!

I shared with you how I DIYed a trumpet vase with glassware from Dollar Tree for my mom’s 70th birthday party. I also DIYed the paper flower centerpieces for the vases. The result was breathtakingly spectacular.

In this post, I share a lot of information that will help you calculate your materials and even your time for each centerpiece.

Are you ready to create Paper Flower Centerpieces that will dazzle your guests and be the jewels of your event? No Time to Do This Project Right Now? Steps:

  • Watch this video on making your 3D paper flowers.

  • Cut the stem off your foam flowers to shorten it to 2 to 3 inches.
  • Set your foam ball on top of your vase and start to place your flowers from the top to the bottom. I always started with putting my red foam flower on top.
  • Don’t glue your flowers, instead use pins. You can get creative, I chose the ones with pearl top, but you can use colored ones to match your event’s colors.

And you are done!

Fun Facts:

For this project, I used multiple packages of 50 sheets 8.5×11. I counted that each one of these packages created 54 paper flowers at least 4 inches wide and 24 paper flowers 3.5 inches wide and smaller.

How many paper flowers do you need to cover an entire ball? The answer is 34 paper flowers and about 6 to 8 foam flowers.

The size of your ball will go from 6 inches to 8.5 inches in diameter after you pin all of the flowers

I am happy to help! What questions do you have? Do you want to do a large flower? Or start with a small flower?
